In recent months the “battle” between atheists and Christians (face it, they’re the only ones who are speaking out) has flared up to cosmic proportions. The publication of Richard Dawkins’ book “The God Delusion” late last year certainly hasn’t helped things. Almost daily there begins a new debate flamefest about “stupid Christians,” “Bible-thumpers,” and “crazy fundamentalists” on Reddit. All this bickering has led me to wonder if all the Christians really are that “dumb.” Surely there is a “smart person,” a.k.a. a scientist, activist, or Democrat who happens to be Christian… right?

A month ago I preordered a little white console made by Nintendo for £219.99. Today I received the following email:

Your credit / debit card will be charged with the new, lower price upon despatch of your order, even if the price goes up again before launch!

Either this is a joke, a mistake, a desperate advertisement, or a jeering taunt aiming to simply tease me about the upcoming release. Rather, a non-release, considering I have been notified that I won’t be receiving the console in the first shipment on December 8.

Right now I’m inside the new Chicago Nokia store, and the first thing that caught my eye was the Nokia 770… and its unbelievable price. Wireless internet (with a 220ppi screen) virtually everywhere for $380 is amazing, especially considering there’s a tiny gadget behind me that does practically nothing and costs $580…
