Dust Jackets

Whoever invented the dust jacket deserves to go to hell. I can do just fine without pretty pictures on the front, especially if the author’s name is thrice the size of the book’s title. Dust jackets are completely unnecessary pieces of plastic-coated paper which rip, get creased, and get lost all too easily. I can make do with the title, author, and publisher on the spine.
